Maintenance
Why maintenance
To enjoy your roller shutters/roller gates/roller doors/overhead and garage doors for years to come, we recommend a maintenance contract with BRS Holland. Depending on the intensity of use, BRS Holland will adjust your roller shutter/roller gate/roller door/overhead/garage door once or several times a year and inspect it for proper operation, damage, and/or unusual wear. The security value is also assessed during this inspection. We offer maintenance contracts for various brands of roller shutters/roller gates/roller doors/overhead/garage doors.
Is maintenance mandatory?
Yes, according to the harmonized European standard NEN-EN 13241-1, you are required to have your roller shutters serviced annually. Furthermore, if you have a Borg/NCP certificate of completion, you are also required to have maintenance performed at least once a year.
What is done during a maintenance service?
If the security level of your roller shutter is not guaranteed, criminals may gain easier access to your belongings. Therefore, we check whether the roller shutter still meets the original security level. A roller shutter can pose dangerous situations for you, your staff, and your customers if a defect in the operating safety features occurs. The operating safety features and controls are checked for function and any wear and tear. During maintenance, parts are inspected, adjusted, and lubricated if necessary. If parts need to be replaced (due to wear or vandalism), you will be notified. Naturally, every roller shutter is provided with an inspection sticker as proof of the maintenance performed, and an inspection report is prepared.
When will the maintenance take place?
With an annual maintenance agreement, we will agree with you when or in which month(s) the maintenance will be carried out.
You will be contacted in the agreed month to schedule the exact date for maintenance to be carried out by an experienced service technician.
Financial benefits
Maintenance is preventative, allowing potential malfunctions to be identified early on. The operational reliability of your roller shutter increases and the risk of malfunctions and unforeseen costs decreases. If you have a maintenance agreement with BRS Holland and a malfunction does occur, you, as a regular customer, will always have priority and will also receive a fixed discount on repair costs (inquire about the terms and conditions). If you have had a new roller shutter installed and have received an NCP certificate, you must have annual maintenance to maintain this certificate. This can result in a discount on your insurance premium. For more information, please contact your insurer.
